calle Estafeta: a privileged location

This street forms part of the bull-running route at the San Fermín festivities, starting at the also famous Mercaderes corner and ending at the Telefonica stretch of road.

During the bull’s route it is at this point that the herd tends to separate out and move quite slowly, and therefore the runners take advantage of this and move in front of the bulls horns, which is called “coger toro” (“catching bull”).

The Bodegón Sarria is midway along the street, at the heart of the bull-running route. During the event the establishments along the route close their doors to avoid situations of conflict, but once the bulls and the runners have finished, the doors are once again opened in order to continue with the festivities.

The spirit of the festivities at Bodegón Sarria

HemingwayFor decades Bodegón Sarria has opened its doors to thousands of visitors to the San Fermín festivities. It is a benchmark of Navarran cuisine and a very special venue in which the excellent daily ambience can evoke the spirit of the Sanfermines estivities even beyond the bull-running season.
