our concept

In the very heart of Pamplona, just a few metres from the Camino de Santiago (St. James’ Way), known as part of the San Fermin bull-running route, is Bodegón Sarria. Founded by the Galarza Lezea family, the Bodegón has known how to adapt to modern times without leaving behind the essence of tradition in the flavours of Navarran cuisine.

The Bodegón is an ideal space for enjoying the very best “pintxos” and the best homemade Navarran cuisine, as well as the exquisite Iberian hams of Sánchez Romero Carvajal 5J (Jabugo), which always guarantee exquisite flavour and great quality.

To accompany the pintxos, the Bodegón Sarria has a wide and varied menu of select wines.

In short, the Bodegón Sarria seeks to convey part of the history of Navarra, making all its clients participants in the culture of the “pintxo” and bringing years of experience from a family that has presided over diverse eateries throughout the Navarran geography.

the history

Founded in 1959, since 1988 it has been presided over by the Galarza Lezea family, a family with extensive gastronomic experience, owning a number of other catering outlets and eateries in Navarra.

Two decades ago, Cristóbal Galarza, a native from Alsasua, and his wife, María Cruz Lezea, bought a business premises called Señorío de Sarria, in calle Estafeta, which they renamed Bodegón Sarria. Currently, the establishment is also managed by the couple’s children, Julián and Arantxa, and has become a focus of pilgrimage amongst lovers of fine ham throughout Pamplona, and today is a benchmark venue representing Navarran cuisine.
